On Saturday, April 30 the entire school will participate in the Friends of Acadia's annual Earth Day Roadside Cleanup. We encourage families to join us in this community service event. We have been in contact with the Friends of Acadia and need to get them a final count by this Friday, April 15. If you are able to join us please send in a note, email or call to let us know how many additional members of your family will be attending.

Friends of Acadia volunteers will provide us with safety training that morning beginning at 8:30. They will also provide us with safety vests to wear for the event, gloves, trash bags, snacks, water and a T-shirt. The school will transport groups of students by bus to various locations as assigned by the Friends of Acadia. Parents may follow along to assist us in this clean up process. Meanwhile, K-2 students will clean up school grounds and the Marsh Road. The Town of Tremont is also participating in the roadside cleanup and will remove all trash that is collected.

Following this morning of community service, we will host a picnic for students and others who help us in this event. Please contact us this week to sign up!
