LICE: Let's try to prevent infestations! There are many alternative and safe preventive treatments using essential oils (some need to be diluted slightly in a carrier oil), as well as commercial products. If your child does have lice it is ESSENTIAL to comb, comb, comb on a daily basis. It is the single most effective way to get rid of the little buggers! Help us prevent an infestation by keeping your child's hair pulled back, rubbing their head with essential oils and of course, by combing!

VIRUS ALERT: Severe Respiratory Illness Associated with Enterovirus D68. This nasty virus has been spreading rapidly in the USA. Be on the lookout for sudden and severe respiratory symptoms (with or without fever), especially with those who have asthma. HAND WASHING IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

HYDRATION: Please remind your child to drink lots of water. Proper hydration can turn around a lot of potential disruptions to a school day, headaches being most common.

NUTRITION: Start your child's day with a bit of protein. Even if it's half a piece of toast with peanut butter, the protein will give them staying power through the morning!

HEALTH PROGRAMS: Be on the lookout for our Flu Clinic on October 22nd and our first Dental Clinic on November 5th. Permission slips will be coming your way SOON! We will also begin routine vision and hearing screenings on Kindergarten,1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th grade soon.
