Students in Mrs. Newby's 7th and 8th grade Science classes are currently studying force and motion. As part of their studies they constructed mousetrap-propelled cars. In class competitions the 7th grade group made of Devin Christianson, Maya Watras, Paige Murphy and Abby Kelley had the car that traveled the greatest distance. 8th graders AC Parsons and Dylan Thurston won the competition of their class. This week there was a face-off between these two winning groups. Although distances were close, the 7th grade car won the competition with a distance just short of 10 meters! The 8th grade car traveled just over 9 meters. Congratulations to all participants in this engaging learning opportunity!
