School Attendance

posted Mar 22, 2012, 5:41 AM by Iris Meehan
Opportunity to learn and academic success is clearly linked to school attendance. We encourage all students to attend school on a regular daily basis. However, there are times of sickness or medical appointments that prevent attendance. Whenever possible please schedule medical appointments so that students do not miss an entire day of school. Core content for students in K-5 is primarily in the morning and for grades 6-8 it is from 10:30 a.m. through the end of the day. Additionally, we want to remind families that it is important for you to contact the school office regarding students absences on the morning of the absence. We need to know that you are aware that your child is not present at school. If we do not hear from you by 8:45 a.m. we may be contacting you to confirm the absence.
