Summer Reading, Math, Independent Study...

posted Jun 7, 2012, 8:20 AM by Iris Meehan
We all probably realize that students who are the strongest performers academically are year round students. We hope that you will support your child over the summer by encouraging them to read, write, do math and engage in areas of exploration that they self select.

In an effort to kick off summer reading opportunities for our students the PTO has sponsored a Book Swap. This swap will occur next week. Various families and teachers have donated books that students will bring home. These books will be stamped to indicate they are book swap books. We hope that you enjoy reading these books with and to your children. We plan to have future books swaps and at that time feel free to return them so that they will be swapped yet again.

Report cards will be sent home with students on the last day of school. We will include information for students to access computer programs that they use during the school year. The directions will be for IXL, SRC and Lexia.
