Studio Art students began a journey to art museums around the world with visiting artist Judy Taylor during our Thursday Studio Art class time. This special opportunity will take place for 10 weeks and is open to all interested Studio Art students. Several teachers have also joined our class!
This week Judy took us to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and we saw the famous painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware River. Judy taught us to look for and draw the negative space around a close up of the figures. Each week we'll visit a different museum and practice drawing exercises and techniques to help us improve our skills.
There is still time to join this class. Students may sign up with Ms Irwin.
