Today, our 7th and 8th grade music classes had a special visit from Mark "Bluesboy" Kanter—a talented musician and innovative maker. Students were treated to a mini-concert featuring his incredible harmonica skills, which left many in awe. But Mark didn’t just perform; he also shared how he combines music with engineering by building his own harmonica microphones using salvaged parts from CB radios.
His visit was not only a showcase of musical talent, but also a powerful demonstration of creativity and resourcefulness. We hope students walked away inspired—not just to make music, but to explore the exciting world of making and inventing.
With access to our school Makerspace, students truly have the tools and opportunity to create just about anything they can imagine. All it takes is curiosity, time, and effort!
